Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Tracks of 2006

Rolling Stone Magazine has just released their pics of 2006’s best songs; 100 of them, all online for your convenience.

One thing I have to complain about is the Raconteurs’ spot in the top ten.  I honestly didn’t think that song was anything special, and I really don’t think it deserves the spot it received.  But overall, the list seems to be a mix of popularity and musical quality.  If it were completely based on popularity, SexyBack would probably be in the Top-Ten.  Instead, Goldfrapp or Wolfmother are probably be where SB would be.  Sorry Justin.  Better luck next time?

Oh, and don’t forget to check out December’s edition of On Tour.
