The 2008 Olympics opened in Beijing opened yesterday on the 8th of August, 2008. The opening ceremonies were appropriately spectacular; they included airborne performers, adorable little children and, of course, fireworks – not just at the stadium, but throughout Beijing as well. There are photos abound on the internet, as well as video clips. Be sure to check out YouTube for the spectacular footage. Here are a couple of the most amazing shots. Go USA!
I’m going to be watching the games a lot in the next couple of weeks, but I’ll continue to post as well. It’s been quite a summer for sports so far: Euro Cup soccer, a thrilling Wimbledon, the Olympic games…and Favre got traded to the Jets. I shall withhold my ragingly angry opinion.
